Martyn Paul Steele
After leaving Northampton School for Boys took an Art and Design Foundation Course at Nene College, Northampton before studying Fine Art Sculpture at Loughborough University. Graduated with a Second Class Honours, Upper Division, Degree in 2002.
Since 1994 been active in Wild Water Racing, a discipline within canoeing. Represented Great Britain in competitions throughout the world, from Czech to USA. By travelling to many countries learned about a wide variety of customs and cultures. Spent a lot of time living with local families high in the Himalayas in Nepal. Kayaked some of the biggest and hardest rivers in the world. In 2004 returned to Nepal for a self-funded expedition; with two other paddlers kayaked down Everest, all the way to India. |
